Ducted Air Conditioning Installation on the Gold Coast
Enjoy quiet, discreet heating and cooling throughout your home with a professionally designed ducted air conditioning system.
Kaizen Coastal Air Conditioning designs and installs zoned ducted systems across the Gold Coast, Logan, Tweed Coast and Northern Rivers. We assess your home's layout, roof space, insulation, room usage and airflow requirements before recommending a system — helping deliver consistent comfort without unnecessarily oversizing the equipment.
What ducted air conditioning is
A ducted system heats and cools multiple rooms from one central unit. The indoor unit and ductwork are concealed — usually in the roof space — while streamlined ceiling outlets deliver conditioned air into each selected room.
How a ducted system works
Conditioned air is distributed through insulated ducts to outlets in each room. Zone dampers open and close to direct air where it is needed, and return air is drawn back to the indoor unit through a central return-air grille.
New ducted installations
For a first ducted system we plan equipment location, duct routes, outlet positions, return air and zoning around how the household actually uses the home, then install and commission the system.
Replacing an existing ducted system
Where a system is ageing or unreliable, we assess the existing ductwork, outlets, controls and electrical supply to identify what can be reused and what should be replaced, then explain the scope clearly before work begins.
System sizing and capacity
Capacity is based on more than floor area. Ceiling height, insulation, window orientation, roof-space conditions, room usage and the zones you want all influence the recommendation.
Zones, sensors and room control
Zoning lets you condition the living areas during the day and the bedrooms at night, rather than running the whole house. Sensors and individual room control can be included where the selected system supports them.
Smart controllers and Wi-Fi
Depending on the system selected, control can be through a wall controller, a smartphone app or compatible home-automation systems. We explain the options available for the equipment being installed.
New builds and renovations
Planning air conditioning early gives better outcomes. We coordinate with homeowners, builders and designers on equipment locations, ceiling space, duct routes and outlet positions before the ceilings close in.
Coastal equipment placement and maintenance
Salt exposure and humidity influence where an outdoor unit should sit and how often it should be maintained. We consider positioning, airflow and servicing when recommending a coastal solution. No system is corrosion-proof.

Questions
Ducted Air Conditioning FAQs
Can ducted air conditioning be installed in an existing home?
In many cases yes. It depends on roof-space access, ceiling height, duct routes and a suitable location for the indoor and outdoor units. We assess these on site before recommending a system.
What size ducted system does my home need?
Sizing comes from an assessment of the layout, ceiling height, insulation, window exposure, room usage and the zones you want, rather than floor area alone.
How long does a ducted installation take?
It depends on the size of the system, the property and access. We confirm the expected timeframe with your written recommendation.
How many zones should a home have?
Most homes benefit from separating living areas from bedrooms at a minimum. The right number depends on the layout and how the household uses each space.
Can different rooms have different temperatures?
Zoning controls where conditioned air is directed, and some systems support individual room sensors and set points. We explain what the selected equipment supports.
How often should a ducted system be serviced?
Coastal properties generally benefit from regular preventative maintenance. We recommend a schedule based on the system, its location and exposure.
How much does ducted air conditioning cost?
Cost depends on the system, the number of zones, the property and installation conditions. We provide a written quote after assessing the home rather than publishing generic price ranges.
